Vision for Geography

Geography encourages the learner to ask and answer questions of the immediate and the wider world around them, including both the natural and human aspects. Our children leave TWFS as curious, knowledgeable geographers fascinated by the wonders of Earth and with a keen interest to further explore its human and physical features. With greater awareness of diverse cultures and countries, our children become respectful, responsible and tolerant citizens, who interact with the world with care and empathy. Our geography curriculum equips our children with knowledge of people, places, resources and natural and human environments, together with a deep understanding of the Earth’s key physical and human processes. We introduce and encourage the use of geographical and l vocabulary throughout all lessons and provide regular opportunities to explore our locality with fieldwork exercises.
